Attn. renegades and rebels | Founders Brewery at Arrow Factory tomorrow

By Jim Boyce | Founders Brewing from Grand Rapids, the birthplace of Gerald Ford (the 38th U.S. President), Gillian Anderson (Agent Scully on X Files) and R&B group DeBarge (OK, if that’s not your style, how about Al Green?), will have three guest beers on tap at Arrow Factory tomorrow. You can get all three for a crisp C-note.

Founders was established in 1997 by Mike Stevens and Dave Engbers, and, given the text on their website, only a precious few snowflakes can expect to like their stuff:

We don’t brew beer for the masses. Instead, our beers are crafted for a chosen few, a small cadre of renegades and rebels who enjoy a beer that pushes the limits of what is commonly accepted as taste. In short, we make beer for people like us.

To recap, if you’re a renegade or a rebel, you better get in on this beer. And if you’re not, just enjoy a few of Arrow Factory’s other beers, such as that tasty lager.

Anyway, including seasonal and specialty beers, Founders lists 19 options on its site–one for every year of business?–and three of those will be at Arrow Factory:

  • Founders Porter
  • Azacca IPA
  • Devil Dancer IPA

That’s three beers for rmb100, 8 PM to 11 PM, Monday, July 25, at the ORIGINAL Arrow Factory. See this map.
