Where to watch Super Bowl 56 in Beijing

No Brady, no Rodgers, no Mahomes, no problem. Super Bowl 56 might lack the game’s biggest stars but does feature two teams, the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals, predicted to rack up plenty of points–48 to 50 according to Vegas odds–with the Rams a 4 to 5 point favorite.

Super Bowl 56 kicks off on Sunday, February 13, which means Monday, February 14 our time, with venues opening at 6:30 or 7 AM. See below for eight places to watch the game in Beijing, including Great Leap #12, The Irish Volunteer, Home Plate, Q Mex (Sanlitun and CBD branches), The Local, Centro and–poster soon to come–Paddy O’Shea’s. (Some places have limited tickets or requires an RSVP, check to ensure you get a seat.)

I’ll update as I get info about more venues showing the game. And will be pulling for the Bengals as 1) their name suits Year of the Cat (Tiger), I’ve been watching a lot of WKRP in Cincinnati clips as Howard “Dr Johnny Fever” Hesseman just died and, when aren’t really a fan of either team, it’s usually nice to see the underdog win.
