YES Club: A raucous joint in Taiyue Suites off Sanlitun South Road. Features included a message board where you could put up specs for potential partners, plenty of drunk people aiming to hook up, and “bachelorette” style activities on stage—think three guys each seeing how many push-ups they can do with a prospective date on their backs. Word is this place was co-owned by singer Faye Wong.
