Okra, just across from the Jing A Taproom, has an upgraded bar and will team up on Wednesdays, starting this week, with Xingfucun Middle Road watering hole BBC. The BBC’ers will be on site from 6 PM to whip up cocktails that pair with bar snacks Max Levy makes using “seasonal ingredients from Okra Works farms”. Perhaps those same ingredients will be used for some creative cocktails: bring on the Brussels Sprouts Sours!
You can also enjoy a daily two-for-one deal on Okra’s signature drinks from 6 PM to 8 PM. Might I suggest pairing it with the nearby Janes & Hooch two-for-one deal from 7 PM to 9 PM?
By the way, I visited BBC last Friday night to have a drink with The Stippster. We had fun trying a few of the gins:
And met one of the local characters. who had his Bug-A-Salt rifle. I have a feeling that rimming margarita glasses with that thing is going to take some practice.
