Wine retailer Pudao started in Shanghai in 2009, expanded to Beijing in 2011, and will celebrate its seventh birthday this weekend. Given the company has a long history of events, not to mention those banks of enomatic machines that define “try it before you buy it”, it’s no surprise the team will celebrate with two days of tasting. Try dozens of wines from 3 PM to 9 PM on Saturday and 2 PM t0 9 PM at the Pudao shop at The Office Park (Unit F1-01, Tower AB, 10 Jintong West Road).
The tasting will include producers like Clarendon Hills, Domaine Huet, Dominio de Pingus, Henriot, Hugel et Fils, Jim Barry, Kanaan, Inglenook, Nicolas Perrin, Pol Roger, Ricasoli, Ridge, Trivento and Villa Maria. It’s rmb200 for nonmembers, who can redeem their entry fee with wine purchases, and free for members, who will get the cost of anything they buy matched with an equal amount of credit on their enomatic machine cards. See the Pudao news and events page for more info. And see sibling blog Grape Wall of China for more on the city’s and country’s wine scene.
