Steaks & Eggs: In 2004, being able to put together a basic breakfast of eggs, bacon or sausages, toast, beans et al made a place a hot spot for brunch and sometimes a contender for “restaurant of the year’ honors from some magazines. While that wouldn’t fly these days, places like Steaks & Eggs were then a haven for those seeking a taste from back home. Plus, check out that cult-like logo featuring owner Paul. I think it hypnotized customers into having just one more burger. Oh, and the pies were good.
