Sips & bites | Ramo II, plus Big Smoke and Cuju turn four

By Jim Boyce | Look for Paca Lee of Ramo to soon open a bar just behind her current spot. “The construction is almost finished,” says Lee, with a recent Facebook post showing a colorful venue at least tentatively named Mimi e Coco. Lee previously ran The Box before moving to Fangjia Hutong and opening Ramo.

Meanwhile, The Big Smoke is turning four this weekend. Saturday’s booze specials include buy one, get one Moscow Mules, Jameson Mules and Mojitos (with options like strawberry basil and lychee rosemary), while Sunday features Bloody Caesars, Basil Screwdrivers and Spicy Micheladas.

Cuju is also marking four years of business, on Saturday, with half-price food and drinks deals like house rums at 20 kuai (or four for 60), Kirin at 20 kuai (or four for 60) and Jing-A beer at 30 kuai (or four for 100).
