By Jim Boyce | Here’s a trio of Beijing deals for this weekend. Let’s start with Sunday first: Pebbles will do a special edition of its “Taco Tuesday” deal in honor of Mexican Independence Day. That means Baja-inspired tacos from rmb15 with lots of options (see below). While you’re there, check out some other tasty Baja-inspired menu items, like the butterfly sea bass with two adobo sauces.
On Saturday, get a free flow of select snacks and drinks from 6:30 PM to 11 PM for rmb100 as Blue Frog celebrates its anniversary and a new menu. The only catch, if you live in central Beijing, is the location: the Shine Hills branch in Shunyi.
Also Saturday, the first 50 pints of Jing-A are free at the end of “summer” party at Jing-Jing in the Opposite House in Sanlitun. There will also be happy hour prices all night, meaning rmb10 off beers, and “bar bites” from Jing Yaa Tang. 5 PM to late. This could be a good starting point before or landing point after dinner.
Finally, Q Mex in Sanlitun is closing–for a week. The makeover starts after “one last old school Q Mex party” on Saturday. All-night pool, rmb20 Carlsbergs, rmb10 tequila and Jaeger shots. This place is slated to reopen September 21 “with a completely new look and feel.”
