Go Zhou! Groovy Schiller’s officially opens in Sanlitun

groovy schiller's beijing opening
By Jim Boyce | After a 20-year stint by Liangma River, Groovy Schiller’s moved into the Nearby the Tree space in late December. After feeling out the market, doing some renovations and refining the food menu, this place officially had its opening party on Wednesday night. Six hours of free-flow beer, mixed drinks and Sangria had loyal patrons happy.
The menu includes plenty of comfort food, including German favorites such as schnitzel and pork knuckle. The sausage and sauerkraut burger hit the spot. (My photo does not remotely do it justice.)

And there’s a half-price food deal on Tuesdays from 6 PM to midnight.

Over the past few months, manager Jack Zhou (The Tree, The Bar, 1F) has also added screens for sports fans. You can find Groovy Schiller’s behind Yashow Market.
