Update: CCBC has announced the Beijing event is sold out.
By Jim Boyce | While Canada celebrates its 150th birthday on July 1, the Canada-China Business Council will get an early start with a party this Sunday in Beijing. The Canada Day event runs from 11 AM to 5 PM, June 25, at Canadian International School.
Expect poutine, beaver tails, lobster rolls, ice cream, beer and more, says this CCBC poster. Clear Lake, which runs a Canadian wine club in China, will have some nice stuff from Ontario.
Tickets are are rmb50 and word is the event is nearly sold out. See here for more info or to buy tickets.
This also means we can have double the fun by also partying on Canada Day proper, although it won’t be the same sans number one hoser The Stipper (see pic below). But if this year’s party lineup is anything like the one last year, there will be plenty to do. I know I’ve got a bottle of Crown Royal Harvest Rye all ready to go.
