It seems at least once a year we hear rumors that TRB has closed. This time they concern catering space TRB Copper and were likely spurred by photos of that venue’s entry being filled in with bricks.
Yes, as with many hutong venues this year, the door facing the street was recently sealed. But Copper has another entrance and will continue to host events.
That means you still have three TRB venues: The original TRB restaurant, Copper, and recently renamed TRB Forbidden City (formerly TRB Bites).
And the team, headed by Ignace Lecleir, has been busy as usual, mostly recently hosting guest chef Koen Verjans.
