By Jim Boyce | I just started the WeChat group Crazy Good Booze Deals to share superb wine, whiskey and other specials in Beijing with my friends.
These will be occasional deals, such as when a wine distributor goes out of business or a retailer drops a whiskey label and they want to sell their extra stock at extra-low prices.
Why do this? My friend’s firm company Italian wine for a few years but decided to stop and focus on core businesses. I recently tried 18 of the remaining wine labels with a half-dozen bar owners, starting from rmb25 per bottle, and some are really good. So, I started the group to pass along these deals and hopefully others to consumers.
